This project comprised of a two-storey side and single storey orangery extension. Including reconfiguration of living spaces and loft conversion, plus creation of front entrance porch.
Originally a 1930s property which over the years had received numerous ill considered extensions, resulting in a lack of flow through the house and leaving an obsolete formal dining room.
The brief was to completely renovate and reconfigure the living space, whilest keeping to the tradition style of the original house using matching materials. Utilising the new orangery style extension a fabulous large kitchen and entertaining space was created, offering access to the large terrace overlooking the grounds. The two generous roof lanterns formed the ceiling to the orangery flooding the dining and seating area with wonderful natural light. To the rear, a new entrance with practical large boot room, utility, dog and laundry space.
First floor extension created two guest bedrooms with shared bathroom. New dormer windows gave height and view to the long elevation, while offering full habitable loft level, for a home gym and kids play space.
A new porch defined the entrance, which had originally felt lost in the long elevation.
