Kate Stoddart is a multi award winning RIBA Chartered Architect based in Farnham, Surrey. Since founding her RIBA Chartered Practice in 2010, Kate has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, bespoke domestic architecture across Surrey and Hampshire. Her extensive portfolio spans hundreds of completed projects, from striking contemporary new builds and transformative remodels to large scale extensions.

In 2023, Kate’s work was recognised at the Waverley Borough Council’s Annual Design Awards, where she won an impressive seven awards, including the Overall Design Award, Best New Build, Best Extension, and The Landscape Award, a testament to the creativity, quality, and integrity of her architectural approach.

As a mum of two (and a devoted dog owner!), Kate brings a personal understanding of what it truly means to design a home, not just a house. She thoughtfully balances contemporary aesthetics with the practical demands of modern family life, combining elegance and usability in every project.

Kate’s design ethos centres on light, form, and space, but her process is always grounded in the needs and aspirations of her clients. Typical project budgets range from £500,000 to £2 million and include custom new builds, sensitive renovations, and complex extensions.

Her work has been featured in leading property publications such as Grand Designs, Real Homes, Homebuilding & Renovating, and Self Build & Design. One of her signature projects, Aylesford House, served as the main filming location for ITV’s six-part drama Finding Alice (2021) and was featured as a case study in Channel 4’s Extraordinary Extensions with Tinie Tempah (February 2024).

Since its founding, Kate’s practice has thrived on client referrals and repeat commissions, a testament to the care, integrity, and passion brought to every project. She maintains close working relationships with trusted structural engineers, planning consultants, project managers, and quantity surveyors, and offers clients full guidance through the tender process, including introductions to reliable local contractors.

Whether you’re planning a new build, a transformative extension, or reimagining your current home, Kate offers a collaborative, insightful, and family focused architectural service from concept to completion.
