This exciting new build is located in the Green Belt and outside of any Settlement Boundary. This meant that we had to have a strong planning argument to justify such a modern design in this location.
Permission was granted in April 2023 by Guildford Borough Council on the basis that 7 of the 8 redundant farm buildings would be replaced. We argued that the combined footprint, volume and spread of these farm buildings was more of an impact on the countryside than a single modern property would have.
The house is around 300sqm and the principal living space is up at first floor to really appreciate the panoramic countryside views available. Accommodation is in two main sections, linked by a two story glassy void housing the stair.
The project is currently onsite and we look forward to seeing our ideas come to life.
